The Prince George Section of the Alpine Club of Canada runs trips in the Coast, Rocky and Columbia Mountain Ranges. As a section they are active in both the summer and winter months with full trip schedules. Each season, a section camp is held often involving a week long trip exploring a new area. Weekly summer trips focus on rock climbing, mountaineering, and hiking while winter trips include backcountry skiing, ski mountaineering, and ice climbing. Skill development is a strong club focus and opportunities for training are provided through trips, seminars, and national ACC training programs. ACC members are committed to working on issues at the local and national level. Section meetings are held regularly and include slideshows on local areas of interest.
