The Sons of Norway Ski Club is primarily a backcountry ski touring club. The club utilizes local trails at Tabor Mountain, Eskers Provincial Park, West Lake Provincial Park, Bear Lake Provincial Park, Huble Homestead, and Greenway/Korky Lake. The club also skis at Sugarbowl Grizzly Den Park, east of Prince George as well as the Wells/Barkerville area south of Prince George. The club assists in the maintenance of local ski and hiking trails at Tabor Mountain, West Lake, Huble Homestead, and Sugarbowl Park. The Sons of Norway also organize and lead weekly ski trips which are advertised regularly in the Prince George Citizen Newspaper. Other annual activities include a trip to the Hills Health Ranch at 108 Mile for track skiing, the New Years Day ski and hot dog roast, and a traditional Norwegian event called the Birchleg Ski Tour which takes place at Huble Homestead.
